MyEpitaph allows you to create online memorial pages for loved ones who have passed away. Each memorial can include a biography, photographs, videos, a life timeline, family tree, ceremony details, and a space for visitors to share memories. You can also order a brass QR code plaque to place on a gravestone, which links directly to the memorial page when scanned.

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. This permanently removes all your memorials, uploaded media, and personal data within 30 days.

Ownership: You retain full ownership of all content you upload to MyEpitaph, including photographs, written tributes, and biographical information. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of providing the service and in accordance with your chosen privacy settings.

Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to share any content you upload. This includes having permission from living individuals featured in photographs and respecting copyright on any materials you include.

Privacy settings: You control who can see each memorial. Options include public (visible to anyone), link-only (only people with the direct URL), and password-protected. You can change these settings at any time.

Collaborative editing: You can invite others as editors (full edit access) or contributors (submit content for your review). Each contributor retains ownership of their individual contributions. The memorial creator maintains administrative control and may moderate all content.

Visitor memories: Visitors may submit memories to your memorial page. All submissions are held for moderation — they only appear publicly once you approve them. You can reject or remove any submitted memory.

Data export: You can export a complete copy of any memorial at any time from your profile page. The export includes all text data as JSON and all photographs as original files in a ZIP archive.

Free plan: You can create up to 2 memorial pages at no cost, with full access to all features including photos, videos, timeline, family tree, ceremonies, and shared memories.

Pro plan: Removes the memorial limit, allowing unlimited memorials for a monthly subscription. You can upgrade or cancel at any time from your profile page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period — your existing memorials remain accessible.

Brass QR plaques: Physical products ordered through the shop. Prices are displayed at checkout and include shipping to the UK. All payments are processed securely by Stripe.

Refunds: For physical products, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — please contact us within 14 days of delivery. Subscription refunds are not provided for partial months.

Each brass QR plaque is engraved with a unique code that links to a specific memorial page. The plaque must be linked to an existing memorial at the time of order. The link is permanent — the plaque will always point to the same memorial page, even if you update the content.

If the memorial is deleted, the QR code will lead to a page explaining that the memorial is no longer available. We do not offer QR code re-linking to a different memorial.

Delivery times are estimated at 5 working days for engraving plus 2-3 working days for UK delivery. International delivery may take longer.

We understand the importance of preserving memories for the long term. We commit to maintaining memorial pages for as long as our service operates. In the unlikely event that MyEpitaph ceases operations, we will provide at least 12 months' notice and offer a full data export to all users.

Memorial creators may delete a memorial page at any time from the edit page or their profile. Once deleted, all associated content is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
